Giving Tuesday 2023
What is Giving Tuesday?
Giving Tuesday is a global philanthropic movement that encourages charitable giving and celebrates generosity. It occurs annually on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, serving as a contrast to the consumer-centered events of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The initiative was started in 2012 by the 92nd Street Y in New York City in partnership with the United Nations Foundation. Its mission was simple: to create a day that encourages people to do good and give back. Over the years, it has evolved into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity, making a significant social impact worldwide.
How You Can Help
Participating in Giving Tuesday and making a difference is easy! Click here to make a donation to the #150Strong fundraiser to help us send 150 girls back to school this fall. Your contribution will help provide high school scholarships for one year to a deserving student. When you donate, you're not just giving money—you're investing in a girl's future and fostering gender equality.
